Big day!

Aspen fell asleep on the way back(she never falls asleep during daylight). Jody loaded the sled on the trailer and she just stayed there and slept. We had to wake her up. Blake was still going strong.

Burgdorf Hot Springs

We rode into Burgdorf Hot Springs and went swimming. It was so fun. The kids thought it was so awesome to swim while it was snowing.

Wii Fun

We got a Wii and Wii Fit from Santa. Jody is trying to beat me at hula hooping. He currently holds the record in our family but not for long. I have never seen him shake his hips like that. Who knew he even could?

Christmas

Aspen got a scrapbook set from my mom and dad and I am so impressed with the job she has done. She better get good at it because I only have the day she was born done.

Terrible picture of me but I was crying. Blake made me a gift at school and I couldn't help but cry. He said, "mom it's a present you aren't supposed to cry."

Blake was talking to my sister on the phone and they were talking about Santa coming. Julie asked Blake if he has been good? His response was, "well, I say sorry a lot." I guess Santa will have to be understanding. At least he is trying!

Aunt Marilyn's house

This is at my sister Marilyn's house at Thanksgiving. They had just got a new hot tub. The kids had a blast in it until Aunt Marilyn sprayed them with cold water from the kitchen faucet. She is such a tease!

Aspen's exciting day!

Aspen was one of the top sellers for her school fund raiser. She got to go in a limo ride to McDonald's for lunch. She had so much fun. I was the only crazy mom that showed up to the school to take pictures of it. Someday she will thank me for it. The limo service is Rod Stewarts Limo. Hence the crazy guy in the pink suit.

First Day of Preschool

Blake was so excited to get to go to preschool. He wasn't sure why he had to start in preschool because he was sure he was ready for "tinderdarden". Hence that is why he is starting in preschool. Maybe by kindergarten he will be able to pronounce it.

Twin Falls, ID Temple open house. It was so neat to take my kids through there. Blake has no concept of talking in a whisper but he was enthralled with the beauty of the temple and amazingly well behaved during the tour.

Aspen had a little boy at school get down on one knee and say, "I beg you for love." Then about a week later he told her she is cute. I told her he is right she is very cute but he needs to know you can't go on any dates until you are 16. Of course she is completely embarrassed by all of this and just blows the boy off now. Poor kid. She is pretty darn cute I must say.

My kids had a ball playing in the leaves. Since our trees are only about 3 yrs. old we don't have a ton of leaves but to them it was a blast. I think Hogan had as much if not more fun than the kids. He thinks he is one of them.

So are you all in shock that there is an update on my blog. Sorry I am so boring. The kids managed to grow over 40 pumpkins from one little pumpkin plant again. They were so excited. I actually learned how to cook a pumpkin and make pumpkin bread. Pretty darn good I must say.

Fire Station

We took a little field trip to the new fire station in Nampa. The fire cheif showed the kids how fast he put his armour on. Aspen was trying to figure out how she could do that with her school clothes in the mornings. I think Blake might make a pretty cute fire chief someday.

I asked Blake to go get his soccer clothes on and this is what he came up with. The soccer shorts are on with the draw string around his neck and two pairs of underwear on his head. Never a dull moment with him around. We did get all the right clothes on for his game and he scored 3 goals on Saturday. His celebration dances after he scored were absolutely priceless.

The kids(and when I say kids I mean Hogan too) had a blast in the snow this year. Hogan would knock down the snowmen faster than the kids could build them. He loved the snow.

Isn't she cute? Her dad pulled her teeth out while I was gone one day. I am sure there were tears involved. She told her teacher at school that he tortured her. The tooth fairy left her $5.00 for pain and suffering.

Here we are all dressed up to go the Gala dinner. It was so beautiful. I felt like I was going to the Oscars. The only difference was that the only real diamonds I had on was in my wedding ring.

This Falcon was the reason we were there.
Jody did have to work a couple of days. I worked really hard too. My feet hurt from all the walking and touring.

Here is a shot of Monaco from the Palace. The buildings just get stacked on top of each other. You don't see any houses. They are all apartments and as it turns out it costs about $1,000.00 sq. ft. to live there. People rent out their balconies during the Formula One Grand Prix for $1,000.00/ day. And their balconies are very small.

The famous Monte Carlo casino. Huge! The grounds surrounding the area are beautiful. We don't reek of money so we couldn't get in the front door. Very tight security around there. We stopped at a little cafe to have lunch near the casino. There were four of us and we had simple ravioli dishes and a half a bottle of wine. It was 230 euros which converts to about $400.00. No, Jody and I didn't not have the wine but after paying for that meal we sure wanted to. Maybe it would have helped cushion the blow. Monaco is very expensive. I thought I might like a new purse. We saw one while window shopping and it was 7,000 euros. I think I will stick with Target.

Do any of you watch America's Funniest Home Videos or Dancing With the Stars? They were on the Sienne River filming a piece for AFH and Tom Bergeron heard me tellng on of the crew members both of the shows are some of Aspen's favorites so he turned around and started talking to us. Very nice guy! Aspen was so excited to see this picture and knew who it was right away.

This is the Arche De Triumph. It is quite large and beautiful. On the inside there are names carved everyone. Once again, needed to pay better attention in school. We saw some gay guys full on making out while we were here and Jody had a hay day chasing them around with the camera trying to get a shot. Never did see them kissing again. Discusting!

Eifell Tower

Here we are in front of the Eifell Tower. It is a long way up there. Yes, we went all the way to the top. Looking out from the top is like looking out at the ocean. However you are not looking at water. It is city as far as the eye can see. Beautiful!

Have you seen the Davinci Code? We are standing in the center of the Louvre. It is huge. You could spend 3 days in there. It is Amazing. I wish I would have paid more attention in my Humanities class. Dang, I hate the "I told ya so" moments.
